Have you ever wondered how the life in our area looked like centuries ago? What people were doing? How they prepared their food and clothes? There was a chance to learn that during meetings and practical workshops organised by participants of “Living history” project. They not only focused on our neighborhood, they also shared what they learned while observing how the living history methods are implemented in countries such as: Turkey, Italy, Latvia, Romania and Cyprus.

During the weekend of 6-7 September 2014 in Tum the First Tournament of Kubb game was organised.
Kubb is an outdoor team game, which was founded during the Vikings era in Europe in the early Medieval Ages.
During two days of the Festival, in two groups - 24 matches were played.
From each qualifying group two best teams (consisting of 2 to 3 people) passed to the next stage. Finals took place on Sunday. After a long battle, the first place was taken by GRH "Leśny Witeź" from Lodz, the second place by team “”Ród Debowego Liścia” also from Lodz, the third place went to the “Drużyna Wojów Czarny Sokół” from Dębica.
During the Festival tourists could participate in many attractions: see the historical campsite and observe reconstructors’ everyday life – cooking, combat - trainings, handicraft. There was a chance to do archery and play plebeian team games. Saturday was finished with Fire Show.

The tournament was organized in collaboration with the Institute for Creative Activities of Lodz, Historical Reconstruction Group "Leśny Witeź" from Lodz, Tavern “Oberża na Progu Tumu”, Forestry Commission Kutno and under the auspices of the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum in Lodz.
